Toronto Distillery District

Red Brick Industrial

An artistic study of the Victorian industrial architecture in Toronto's Distillery District. The painting features high-contrast shadows between the massive red brick distillery buildings. A large modern metal sculpture sits in the center of the plaza, juxtaposed against the historic masonry.

Textures and Shadows

The focus is on the rhythmic patterns of the windows and the rough, tactile quality of the brick surfaces, illuminated by a low afternoon sun that stretches long shadows across the square.
