Floating Garden Stones

Reflections and Ripples

A serene view of the stepping stones across the main pond at Keukenhof. The round stones sit just above the water line, surrounded by the mirror-like reflections of the surrounding willow trees and vibrant tulip borders. The water is calm, broken only by soft ripples and the occasional lily pad.

Artistic Focus

The composition focuses on the geometric shapes of the stones against the organic forms of the flowers. High transparency in the watercolor washes allows the reflection of the sky and the blooms to mingle on the water's surface, creating a peaceful, contemplative mood.
